Server Hosting: How to do it

2 posts in this topic

HI,

After some failures to join a hosted server today (his server showed up with 9999 ping and I couldn't join...to my failed attempt (since I'm in-game I can't even be sure it's in the server list)... I realized some how-to knowledge on the subject would be greatly appreciated. If anyone knows how to SUCCESSFULLY host, please put it here. List any default port changes, firewall settings, and other things you did (that weren't obvious...like the "host server" button)Also, is the best way to host a server to do it from the "GimbalServer" button in the game files, or to do it from the "Host" screen in-game?It's frustrating when you and a friend try to create a server to mess around with, but run into technical difficulties.

Please help.

I did not find the right solution from the internet.
