Linux or Windows VPS?

I would recommend the one that is the most well suited to your requirements. I would not choose the other one, because it is not as well suited to your requirements.

It mainly depends on the apps you are planning to host.

If you are planning to host asp.net, windows will be good option.

For PHP apps, Linux is the choice.

linux oS is widely preferable as it is cheaper than windows and you can host over 95% of apps over there.

Linux is always with the best performance, it's much
faster and higher performance than windows.
also there is a lot of open
source software in linux, and wide range of software, all for free!.

the
only 2 think that you should choose windows are a user friendly, and also
microsoft exchange mail servers are great.

I prefer linux since it is free, however a Windows server can have its upsides as well. It's just the cost which is a problem.

You need good knwoledge to handle Liniux machine, windows is easily understand but also vulnerable and less use.

Linux is cheaper, free source and good security.

The vps that fits your budget would be one way to start and then you can then go by what your going to run on the server will determine the operating system.

Linux or Windows depends on type of work/site you want to host.

If you are hosting a normal site then linux is always best.
